Halifax Opportunities Trust is a registered Charity which provides opportunities for people in Calderdale, helping them to find new or better jobs, to learn new skills and to start or grow businesses as well as offering support to those raising young families.
ABL are providing an interim management service, reporting directly to the charity’s Board and sitting on the Senior Management Team. The role involves managing marketing activities and supporting the development of strategic direction for the Trust and its subsidiaries, Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre and Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre.
Alison Haskins, Chief Executive of Halifax Opportunities Trust said “I’m delighted that ABL are providing interim marketing support to the Trust whilst our Marketing Manager is on maternity leave. They have hit the ground running, supporting our strategic and business planning process and injecting some great new ideas. They’ve already given us some valuable input about really understanding our customers and ensuring we are doing all we can as a charity to create opportunities for health, wealth and happiness across Calderdale.
”As a company which is already providing outsourced marketing and with a strong understanding of Calderdale’s SMEs, ABL Business Ltd was an obvious choice.”
Alex Beardsley of ABL Business Ltd said “We are thrilled to be working with Halifax Opportunities Trust and supporting the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre and Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre in the very valuable support they provide for the people of Calderdale.
“When the chance arose for us to work with the Trust, we knew this would be the perfect fit for both of us. We’re looking forward to implementing a marketing strategy that promotes all the excellent work that Halifax Opportunities Trust carries out across the area.”
Founded in 2000, Halifax Opportunities Trust was initially established to create opportunities for people living in the Park Ward area, to the west of Halifax town centre. Over recent years, the charity has grown and strengthened, allowing it to extend its community work district-wide.
